So I am a nature lover and somehow felt like I have always had an animal instinct which led me to day dream about jungles and rivers and mountains and cliffs yaddi yaddi ya.

Bali has always been on my mind because of its jungles and tree houses and those infinity pools, hence I decide to take a 10 day trip that was supposed to cover a lot of Bali and a day in Nusa Penida to see the beautiful Kelingking Beach and The Diamond Beach, and things went well according the plan.

Our first stop was at a farm surrounded by jungles in Ubud, located near Bali's central upland. It was called White Cubes. It was an absolute delight to spend our first night in a two-storey cube like room surrounded by glass walls so you don't miss the jungle views, and a lovely little pool attached to the house.

As our day progressed, we didn't want to waste any day of our stay there so we went out to explore the city and ended up at a glamorous oceanfront club in Bali called Omnia Dayclub and had the most amazing time.

As we moved forward with the next morning to do other things that were planned, and what we planned to do before anything else was to visit the waterfalls. it was at the top of our list since it was our first time. Our first stop was Tegenungan Waterfall! What a wonder!

The waterfall was surrounded by tourists taking cool dips in the water and witnessing the beautiful wonder of nature. The next even more exotic one was Tibumana Waterfall. This was like string of pearls hanging from the top with a perfect green backdrop. This waterfall was more exotic than the first one.

The third waterfall was the winner. It was hidden in the narrow roads and terraces and a temple. So secluded, almost private and so aesthetically perfect was Dusun Kuning Waterfall also known as the Yellow Waterfall. The water beautifully flows from the rocks and narrows down into the river valley. It felt like we rented our own private waterfall for the day. Thanks to the sunset, we couldn't stay there for longer as the surrounding jungle gets a little dangerous in the dark.

The last waterfall we visited in the beautiful Bali was Aling-Aling. It's funny that there were three other waterfalls before visiting Aling-Aling and they were more fun!

On the fourth day, our stay was sort of magical. I have always been a tree house lover, so my ex-husband found a perfect one for me. We stayed for a day at Ananda House it was just not a tree house, it was a jungle haven, a three bedroom villa with a private pool and a huge kitchen that had a lovely view of the river. An architectural bamboo delight, a mix of nature and luxury. I was sure to soak up every minute of my stay at Ananda House at Green Village, Bali.

Our next activity that I really looked forward to was river rafting by Ayung River! I wanted to be there forever and never leave, period!

I am generally a shy person, but this experience got me screaming and hooting with excitement. As I write about the experience, my face gets lit thinking about it. I am a jungle girl, and this felt like a scene from a fantasy movie where we are transported into an unknown river surrounded by a mighty jungle and then it starts to rain and things start to get surreal while we raft our way into the restless river. I want to relive that moment a thousand times in my head.

As our days progressed after having felt the jungle vibes, we got to exploration mode and headed out to city side where all the fun happens. So we went to Seminyak and Kuta, stayed a night in Kuta and walked the city, checked out the restaurants and some nightclubs and beach clubs. I instantly fell for Potato head beach club in Seminyak and spent late nights there chilling and enjoying the vibes.

Now moving on to the islands, we planned to stay for a day at Nusa Penida Island. I had been keen on going to Kelingking beach, this cliff looks like a T-Rex and has the most amazing view of the blue and green ocean

The trekking is very steep and has railing the whole way. It isn’t easy and if you don’t think you can make it back up, enjoy the view from the top like I did.

And on the same day we went to the Diamond beach and spent a little time by the sea before making our way back to Bali.

As our stay was coming to an end, it was decided to end it on a high note. Hence we booked the last day at Bambu Indah. This wonderland fairytale type Boutique Hotel in Ubud was an alternate reality that I did not even imagine. Everything from its carefully curated architecture just from bamboo sticks to its close connection to nature whilst keeping it's standards at par with a luxury resort was nothing short of mesmerizing.
